i have a stripped down bmw. only options i added were logic7, ipod/usb, tint, alarm. what's important to me is how a car LOOKS and how it DRIVES. without navi, sunroof, power seats, the car is much lighter and faster than a fully loaded one. the added luxury comfort buttons would have been nice (i'd like sports seats on my next bmw) but i thought all were overpriced. i might get lowball offers when it comes time to sell this car because it lacks the bells and whistles, but with all the compliments i get from people, for now, i have a smile on my face every time i drive this car.

With a/v receivers, the longer you wait, the more value you get. A receiver that was $449 13 mos. ago sells for $197 today. I know, I bought one. Its replacement just came out and is $549. Maybe next year that one is $297.
I totally agree with you on this one. Especially when it comes to car audio. This is coming from a huge car audio fanatic in my college day. Everyone knows that the price of electronics always drops. When its stereo equipment of computers. Its cheaper for them, so it should be cheaper for us.

And for the record it's grammar not grammer...hey you asked!

As far as I know, grammer isn't even a word. I could be wrong though.

And for some reason the whole "doesn't, don't thing" is a huge pet peeve which is why I mentioned it in the first place. I have met several attractive women who once they open their mouth and I hear "don't" instead of "doesn't", it is a HUGE turnoff. Call me crazy, but it shouldn't be that much to ask for a adult (male or female) to speak or write proper English, should it??
This is my first post. This is sad.

Why do it make you so mad? I doesn't understand why you let get to you so much. Next time just ignore ok?

That is value subtracted.
An older post, I know, but this is the first time I read this. Add to your list no insulation pad under the hood, no manual key hole for the trunk, no folding mirrors when locking with CA, no option to change the sensitivity of auto headlights, no nets on the backs of seats, no "one touch" tilt feature to the sunroof, no residual heat feature (soon), no plastic spare key. Any others?

Of course, in taking away those things, they added several things like improved exterior styling on the sedan, 4 years of BMW Assist standard (previously $199(?) per year), an "all" button to change driver and passenger temp at the same time, and an excellent new iDrive system.

I suppose it's a matter of personal taste, but if you want to see some kick ass leatherette check out the new VW's. The VW leatherette is smoother and has perforated seating surfaces and just enough grab to keep you in your seat.

Leather should be standard at our price point, but I'm all for cloth as an 'no cost' option. Trash the leatherette.

I prefer leatherette over leather or cloth. Leather is harder to maintain and cloth doesn't look as good as leatherette. I'm also allergic to leather.

Point is, everyone has their own preference and you can't please everyone.

Cloth as a "no cost option" would cost BMW a fortune, IMO.

as said, everyone wants more bang for their buck, so does bmw. they still want to maximize their profit for what they sell you. certainly with the USD, it has been more and more worthless except for a spike in Oct 2008. BMW is a publicly held company, everyone sees their reported profit every quarter. They, like any public company are at the constant struggle of showing upward profit/growth, else the public ain't buying BMW stock right if it doesn't have the perception of appreciating? And so in tough automotive sale times, they've been looking to cut cost, increase profits, or block the downward trend. Us in USA feel like we are 'getting less car for $40K USD' but they've been feeling that they are getting less Euros when BMW collects our $40K USD. They can block themselves from being shortchanged, but you cannot... you can only go buy something else. They're gonna build the 3series inside USA anyway.

I believe the prices have not changed for the 2010, just some features adjusted.

New member. I was just wondering if anyone had a pdf or link to the 2010 (or 2009) dealer invoice prices. I'm trying to gauge how much over invoice one should pay for a new 2010 E92.

Search for the thread "confidential wholesale pricing" something or other on this forum for the 2009 invoice prices or go to edmunds.com and find them there. I just ordered a 2010 E92 335 for 750 above invoice. I think it's a fair price.

Just to get this right after looking at the 2010 order guide. The 335i does come standard with the moonroof, but the 328i does Not? I saw a thread that said none of the 2010 3 series come standard with the moon roof.

for 1 1/2 years I have had lots of trouble with my 335i

Four time engine piston, injector, and fuel pump problem all within 1 1/2 years of leasing 335i coupe. However I have lemoned my 2008 335i, and I am getting all new 2010 335i coupe. Already placed my order through BMW dealer here in SoCal for 47K, metallic paint, leather interior, M-package, Premium, Manual,Convenience, and much more.

Current financing offer is 1.9%, however make sure your BMW dealer is participating on the 1.9%.
My lowest price offer on well equipped 335i, MSRP @53K, and Dealer asking price is little over @$47K.
Good Luck

Why would you want to wait. Order right now. Haggle your local BMW dealer for a greate deal. If you can order one for $47K you cant beat that. You can specify all trims and detail the exact way you want. All you need to do is have patience for 90 days. Will beats 9 month I had to wait for my baby, LOL
