Caliper Clearance Questions
I just put on some some 17" M6 reps with 225/45/R17 snows on my 2006 E90 330i with sports package. The tires fit but I worry about the clearance. To be completely honest I would be surprised if there was more than 2mm (a bit longer than 1/16") of clearance between the rim and the caliper. They spin clean but could this pose a problem later? Im worried that I will hit a hard bump which would cause the rim to flex and rub against my caliper. What do you guys think am I worrying for nothing? Is there a minimum recomended clearance I should be using to handle most common situations?
