It was a rough night with heavy seas and winds. Liberty's crew had their hands full and missed their 06:00 report.
It seems the winds and seas have backed off slightly and winds are out of the N-NE as Liberty approaches the Azores. I hope they don't stop for some R & R and continue on to Baltimore, MD!

As of her last recorded position, she has traveled a total of 1968nm since departing Bremerhaven and 228nm in the past 12 hours, averaging 19kts.

Update: Liberty is nearing the halfway point in her Atlantic crossing. Seas have settled down to 3 feet with breezy winds coming out of the S-SW. Notice that the water temps are rising as well as the air temps. In the past 6 hours, Liberty has covered 111nm at an average speed of 18.5kts.

Update: Winds and seas have picked up again which could be why Liberty has only clocked 106nm at an average speed of 17.7 knts over the past 6 hours. With a strong breeze coming out of the SW, it's a rough ride. Viewing the Atlantic weather radar, things don't look like they will improve over the next 24 hours with a storm that is situated over the mid-Atlantic. Stay tuned.
