Best way to listen to audio in 2011 335i w/o usb.
Hey guys, just picked up a 2011 335i coupe, it didn't come with Premium package or USB but it does have the internal Hard drive nav...is the only way to listen to my music through AUX or CD or is there another way to do things? Thanks in advance...

AUX is a great way to do it. I recommend buying a flat cable (check Amazon) and just keeping it in your car. Tip: turn up the volume on your phone to like 90% and that will avoid most static that I get when I have my phone volume low and my car volume really high.
You can also buy a bluetooth receiver that will plug in through AUX and will stay in your center console. However, this will drain battery on your phone slightly faster and for me it isn't worth it, but you might like it since it is wireless.

As you have nav check for the USB input in the glovebox far left hand side, I think you can at least import tracks from a key onto the nav hdd and possibly play them directly from the stick.

No problem mine has the usb in the center as well but when you have nav you get the glovebox one for sure as that is how you can also update the nav maps. From that port when you put a usb stick in you will see the option to copy the music off or I think it shows up as usb-front or something for playing from. Just remember to format the usb stick as FAT32 otherwise it might not read it. - Glad you found it!

I'm up in the air with AUX and USB.
On one hand you can control the stuff on USB through the steering wheel... On the other hand if you make a good playlist you never need to change songs if you're plugged into AUX. First world problems :P

I have an '06 330i without USB so I purchased a blackberry music gateway and plugged it into the aux input. Phone connects to it via Bluetooth then I can stream music from my phone through my car speakers. I usually just turn on pandora and let it run so I don't have to mess with selecting songs while driving.

Steering wheel doesnt tell you anything. All cars have the phone button with or without the bluetooth option.
Yes, it is very possible to have a 2011 and iDrive withOUT bluetooth. Bluetooth/BMW Assist is a separate option.
