NCS Expert 4.0.1 English & Password Fix

Hey Guys,

Recently installed BMW Standard Tools 2.12, including NCS Expert 4.0.1 and like many of you discovered the password no longer worked from the 32 bit version and was in German...

Stumbled across this the other day: EDIT: just head over to auto-professionals and do a search

Contains a patch to convert it to English and removes the password prompt for editing profiles.

No more hosting 32 bit systems on 64 bit, enjoy!

You do know it's against the AP board rules to post direct links to their content and is subject to a ban from the board.

I attached a copy of the .txt file to one of my posts that cleans the rest of the German up.

AP's registrations are closed

I can't seem to find ncs expert 4.0.1 anywhere.... did people just google and look for it?

I posted a version with a modified NCSEXPER.TXT and also edited the exe resources with MS Visual Studio to apply English to the menus, etc. The thread is here:

many thanks to everyone - i got the latest software, but now cant figure out why the heck i can't communicate with anything. It's like my cable doesn't exist -_-;

Go through the intro thread again, my guess is your ports aren't set up properly. Same thing happened to me and that was the fix

You can purchase legitimate copies, free of spyware, relatively cheap.

Mikes Easy software is garbage if you know what your doing. If you couldn't get wildcatscrazy installed correctly (it is in English) try the bimmergeeks.net download also in English and much more complete than Mikes.

I've been an IT guy for over 30 years, I think I know how to install software and delete and copy folders. I followed his instructions and it was still in German, just trying to help others that have the same problem.

I've been a IT guy for zero yrs and installed it this morning in 10 minutes to check and this is what I got.
