iPhone camera fuzzy :(

did my research and no one knows what to do except go to apple for a replacement

and with no untethered JB for 4.3... I don't want to do that...

even took the rear case off to make sure the lens itself is clean

if i try to get a macro picture, it's clear as day

anything more than a few inches is blurry

front facing is clear

That's what seems the case.

I just don't want to go to a non-JB phone

Also when the phone heats up (usually from me being on it for a while) theres a clicking noise from the ear piece

very unusual

even after i stopped talking on the phone i could hear it

damn thing is broken...so a fixed non-JB iPhone... or a messed up JB iPhone...

I need tethering and SBSettings more than anything else...

There has to be something wrong with the hardware in your phone.. I use mine for long periods at a time sometimes and it never gets hot.. Try to get it replaced or download an older version.. Good luck

Are you using HDR and discarding originals?

If yes, this is your problem. I've noticed that HDR looks good on the phone itself, but once you upload photos on your computer and view them, you will notice blurring and double picture. I guess HDR does not work well when there is a slightest movement of the phone.

But if your autofocus is really broken, buy another iPhone with older OS. And once Apple gives you a replacement sell that.

It's not that the picture taken is blurry, rather the camera isn't even in focus

Since I can't go a day without an iPhone (or a smartphone, be it a BB or iPhone or Droid)
It would cost me more to be without the phone than to buy another one

Thats the difference though, droid lets you customize where as apple does not.
