335i Turbo issue
Hey everyone,
Recently my 335i has not been the same. When I accelerate my car has no power and turbos do not kick in, whenever I go over 3k RPM a half yellow engine light comes on. The dealership in Canada told me both turbos need to be replaced. But there is no warranty extension on turbos in Canada. I know there is a turbo wastegate failure warranty extension on BMWs in the US, which my car is American so the cost would be covered. I am just wondering if anyone has/had these symptoms and got there car fixed under the warranty extension. Any help would be great! Thanks |

My turbos were replaced under warranty. I had the same issue you did.

This should be covered....
Call BMW NA... I wouldn't settle for this bullshit, just because you bought in Canada. Just curious if someone can point out if BMW has extended the Warranty on the Turbos and what is the extend of the warranty, ie limitations. yrs/miles or km? DN |

8 years or 82,000 miles. Whatever comes first. But it US only due to class-action suit in US courts. You Canadians need to be more litigious.
