Just did this with mine but ive run into a little problem.
when my engine is on and running when the doors open the led's turn off after 5 secs or so. then they dont come back unless i turn off the car and turn it back on again. but when the engine is off, there are no problems. anyone else getting this? |

Not sure if this has been covered before but none of the techniques shown to replace the front dome lights are required. The BMW owners manual describes how to access the sunroof manual wind mechanism. I just followed this and had the light assembly out and lights replaced within minutes. Just make sure you have a small flat blade screwdriver and angle it towards the rear of the car as you push up otherwise you will catch the edge of the roof and not push back the metal clip.

Thanks man! Very well explained!
I had a little trouble with what to do with the standard bulb already there! It turns out you got to put some muscle into it and yank it out! |

i can't figure out the footwell lights on my e92 m3. none of the footwell lights are turning on. they worked for a day and they haven't worked in over a month. i suspect it's the rear side footwell T5 bulbs so I've purchased a different set and also put back the stock ones but still nothing. i have changed a bunch of fuses 7, 62, and a few others. the domes and trunk work fine. what do i need to do???

Hey guys,
thanks for the tutorial, everything seems to work, except for the door light. How do I get off the white cover, as you can see in this picture? http://i46.tinypic.com/nd6cyc.jpg |

Good God I have F'ed up my car trying to do this - So I tried to insert the new bulb in and the little white plastic part poped out - now I have no bulb - furthermore I tried to follow the directions above- removing the liner around the roof, and I couldn't find any friggen clips - so I pulled down a bit and the little grills where the speakers are (or temp sensors) broke. Further I can't get the damn thing to snap back in - oh man this sucks - I hate taking it to the bmw dealer to tell them I f'ed up trying to replace a bulb.. 500 bucks here I come... anybody got any better ideas?
