Need advice: 07 e90 w/SOS,TCU. Want BT to work

If this has been covered, I'm sorry but, I can't find the info.. I have an 07 e90 with premium package, SOS(disabled) With BT antenna, FZD mic installed and a BT TCU installed.. But, no BT menu appears on the HU. Is this something that needs to be coded at the dealer? Or, will I need upgrades and additional parts? Part number of the TCU is: 84.10 9126533-01 Motorola, BT 0018A4ECDC96.

BT sticky at top of page

Is Sos disabled or just not subscribed to?
If nobody has messed with it as in installed aftermarket stuff
it should work with just programming .
And you should be able to get a coder to do it.
It will only give you Bluetooth Phone though.
Have you tried to pair a phone does the phone icon show up with the
menu button?

So far as I can see, no aftermarket accessories have been installed. And, I believe the BMW Assist has just lapsed.. The head unit doesn't display any Bluetooth connectivity menu, so I presume that the system just needs recoding to operate. All I'm looking for is to be able to handsfree the phone.. I have other plans to stream music, such as the Airplay module gadget.

I have this manual and, it only covers how to pair a phone to the existing Bluetooth menu which, doesn't appear on the headunit of my radio. I am wondering if the fact of the BMW Assist lapsing has deleted the Bluetooth menu from the HU/TCU.

So if you press the Menu button there is no telephone

So if you press the Menu button there is no telephone icon?

I have a lapsed Assist with pro radio and it doesn't turn off the bluetooth phone.

I would suggest doing a Vin check of your car with the free Vin checkers
you can find on line it will tell you what was installed and activated
out of the factory.

That is correct. The TCU has the Bluetooth symbol but, no PK#, and the head unit doesn't have a telephone handset icon when the menu button is pressed. Although the car is equipped with a Bluetooth antenna in the drivers side footwell and there is a mic plugged into the overhead console aft of the SOS button.

The SOS system is a cell phone essentialy

Check the Vin for the bluetooth option you should have
all the hardware you need. I don't see how they would equip a
car with SOS and not have bluetooth phone enabled to.
There is a list of option codes in the coding sub forum sticky.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=717103

mine came with premium package I think its included in that package.
