Dumb Question Regarding Engine Fan
Hi all,
2007 E91 328i six speed. I was just inspecting under the hood when I noticed a metallic clip on one of the blades of the engine fan. I did not necessarily see a crack in one of the blades. This is likely the cause of the slight vibration when it's running. Unless it's supposed to be there, in which it's a balancing piece? Just wanted to be sure that indeed this is not part of the fan. Yes this is a dumb question. Big whoop wanna fight about it? |

It's a balancing weight.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
