About the Warranty?

My question is...if I get my bmw from a local dealer (ie: not like bmw Bayside) Will I still get the ultimate service with no extra charge?
Thanks!

Not sure I understand. Would your so-called "local dealer" be a BMW dealer? Or something else?

It depends on your negotiating skills. If it's a brand new BMW, your warranty will be accepted at any BMW dealer. If if it's a used BMW still within it's warranty mileage/year, any BMW dealer will still cover it, even if you did not buy from a BMW dealer.

Hope this helps!

Which model(s) are you looking at?

Not sure about the dealer you are talking to, but a lot of BMW dealers won't give you a loaner unless you purchased the car from them. Sometimes they will be cool if you bought it in another state but moved to the area (my dealer is prettty good about that) but it is dealer by dealer. Just another thing to check on when deciding where to buy.

I still don´t know what that means "should I go to BMW Bayside or like a regular dealer"

How is BMW Bayside not a regular dealer.

Your post makes no sense at all.

I'm not sure what you mean in your post, either, Design. Are you asking about, for example, a Lexus dealer who has a BMW for sale in their used-car department? Or, are you talking about a dealer who has multiple brands for sale under the same family name? For example, in Tampa Reeves sells BMW's, Audi, Porsche, Mazerati and VW. They are technically separate dealers but they are all owned by the same person.

In the first example, you would be buying a used car and that would be governed by BMW's policy on used cars. I think you get the balance of the warranty and it is honored at any BMW dealer. In the latter case, you would be buying a new car from a BMW dealer and you would get the new car warranty.

I can't think of any other example, other than simply buying a car from some guy and in that case I think you'd get the balance of the factory warranty. A friend bought a used BMW with about 25k miles on it and an extended warranty from BMW and his was covered out to 100k miles. However, since he didn't buy it new, he didn't get a loaner when it was in for service. At roughly $35 per day for a rental that probably amounts to 7 or 8 days ($245 - $280) that you would save (in real dollars, time or inconvenience) by buying a car from a BMW dealer.

Does that help?

I don't really know what you are asking...

If a dealership is selling new BMWs, then it is a "real" BMW dealership, regardless whether that dealership also sells other makes.

You will get the same service from all official BMW dealerships.

No one apparently does.

Someone who sells BMWs who is not an official dealer is, well, not a real BMW dealer.

You deserve what you will get. You are clueless as a new car buyer and I´m sure the salespeople will lick their chops when you enter their portal.
