As I have responded in PMs and e-mails, the main drive here is to retain the luxury, classic and exotic theme. Most of the 'modded' theme comes from the prior 3 segments.

A classic Cars and Coffee turns into Hot Import AM or the like if the definition is consistently stretched. Mustangs and Corvettes are excellent due to their heritage as well as the quality of their latest incarnations. These are not events that feature vehicles such as most of the SRT line, Civic, Mazda3, etc. There is respect for those classifications but they also have their structured meets.

More sites have been contacted. Check the Facebook link in my sig.

25 days. Be ready!

Today, I received an e-mail from the HVTC's paralegal. During my visit with management earlier this week, we talked about an idemnity clause so they would not be held responsible for the 'absentmindedness of C&C attendees while they are operating a motor vehicle'. That was my phrase.

This is a notice. Clear automobile-related stupidity from your minds prior to entering the HVTC grounds.

There should be no displays of speed and no burnouts. Its about a great time...a safe, great time.

Pat,
Give it time, others will come as it becomes near, they will show up.
I was looking at your thread. Over 300 members have read your sign up request.
And NoVa is one of the largest regions of BMW owners. Maybe some BMW CCA members can join you too?

I don't care for tire smoke with my Caribou Coffee.

Caribou is great stuff. The daily special brews are pretty damned special.

Here's a call to photographers. Bring the rig! I'll have the D90 but there are much better photographers in the NCC. The best shots may be used for upcoming flyers and online promos.

This is true. I give Pat a 28% chance he will show up in the M5 he hasn't purchased yet.

Lmao %28 percent between now and Saturday more like a 10 percent chance unless somebody has an insane deal going on.

The Porsche crew gave a nice bump to the Facebook numbers. Of course, many in the luxury and exotic automobile community could care less about Facebook so the early numbers look even better.

More storefront, legal and auto-related visits are scheduled for this weekend.

should we stick to a 4x6 format or will there be any other sizes as well?

8x12's were also printed in matte. They look spectacular. These will be distributed to stores, auto dealers, etc. There seems to be limited use for going larger. Typically, the larger sizes are used for window displays that focus on business (and not outside) promotion. There may be a time when I get a 2'x3' printed in matte for my own records.

Word was spread to key auto enthusiast names within my client site. Ferris would say that their taste is 'so choice'.

30 4x6's were spread around the area so 30 more were printed. There was a shift to matte finish to limit fingerprints.

On Saturday, 6 dealerships and a car wash were visited. No solicitation was the theme along with spreading the word among their employees and known collectors.

Yesterday, I met with Baltimore County Police to make sure that they were informed of the event. This was done in a movement of respect for the HVTC, its management, its patrons and of course, our group. They'll team up with HVTC Security to make sure everyone and their property is safe.

Bread was also broken with Panera management since they have morning hours and they also have the coffee. I'll be contacting their HR Department to discuss gift certificate opportunities.

The Spy then visited to discuss C&C matters at Caribou. That led to canvasing the lots with the 4x6's. Its always fun to scout the area.

Earlier today, a work contact provided me with 3 contacts that have car collections. These folks will be contacted this week with the hopes of site visits occurring over the weekend. Setting the tone with the owners/curators can lead to the addition of truly unique cars.

The wheels continue to turn!

When you get a chance, drop off some posters so I can put them up at the dealership. We have been getting really busy!

Busy is good. I was just in Owings Mills doing an emissions test. I'll do my best to drop off some 8x12's on Saturday. Maybe 16 x 24's are in order.
