All who run non RFT on their E90/E92

What do you guys do if you had a flat? Since BMW's come standard with RFT's, it made it quite convenient for us to get to the nearest tire shop/dealership.

Do you guys get the spare kit and leave it in the trunk?

Do you guys just rely on AAA?

Some input would be nice

That is pretty sweet. Did you get all of that from tisher or tire rack?

Did you notice a major difference having a spare in the trunk (MPG wise or even driving wise)

How much did that setup cost you?

I am sorry to upset you about this repost. I have gone ahead and done so and was able to find similar feedback about keeping a compressor and a can of fix a flat.

The post from Pete84 provided great details and ideas of what I might want to do.

I am up for more ideas. The only concern now is the cost of a spare and how it might impact the driving.

OK let me break it down for you: spare + tool kit from BavAuto, tire tote from Tirerack, trunk net from Tischer, ratchet strap from PepBoys. As far as the cost goes, I can't really recall how much I paid for it, but you can probably get all of it for around 400-500 bucks.

i keep an air compressor, a bottle of green slime stuff, and some plugs with tool. if i have a sidewall blowout, then it's time for a tow. so far in two years, i had a slow leak in a snow tire, just pulled over, found the nail, plugged the tire, pumped it up and i was on my way. about 10 minutes. 2nd winter on snow tire now with no probs. have had no problems with my conti dws during the non-snow months.

Running an extra spare and a net is quite common on this board.

just ordered my spare from bav auto and the PS2's hopefully go on today!

Where did you get the net in this picture? Is it the BMW one just tied back to the front tie down points, or is it a generic one?

thanks!
