Possible Auto Box Issues

So I was driving to a mates last night, I had the car in manual mode with T/C off.
I took off from a set of lights in second, and shifted into 3rd and floored it, the car lit up a bit and took off (yay fun) I then got to the entrance to his estate and went to shift down to 2nd gear... the car said no, and stayed in 3rd, I tried a few more times on the way in and couldn't get it to change down at all. I was at his place for about an hour and left, car has been fine since... thoughts?

My car has done 110kms and had tranny flushed about 20,000kms ago, also has Alpina flash. Car is only FBO so not heaps of power running through it either.

Sounds pretty standard for a 335i to be honest lol.. I wouldnt worry if it soughted itself out after a power cycle and problem hasnt re surfaced. My car holds gears sometimes after flooring it & then backing off suddenly, like you i also have alpina flash. I have had my car stuck in 3rd gear briefly but that was related to custom tuning taking place/adaptions etc.

I know what you mean about the holding in gear but this was different to that, I would shift down, the dash would say M2 for about 2 seconds but then go back to M3 without the box actually changing :/

We did have some serious rain last weekend and I went through a pretty big puddle/lake while I was out, I wonder if I did some damage to at AT cooler or something?

I have had the exact same issue, its in M2 but then changes to M3 by itself without actually changing gear (it did this after backing out of my driveway), but i know mine was related to a new flash file being uploaded, it ended up going away once the car had adapted.
If the issue has not come back then i would not even worry about it. I have read other posts of guys having similar issues, but once the car has been turned off & then back on again the problem has gone away and not come back

These 335's are pretty erratic as I'm sur you would know. I've only had mine for maybe 6 months and had a few faults come up that have never been seen again.

Similar to your issue, I had a transmission fault come up once as I turned the car on, turned it straight off and back on and haven't seen it back since. That was like 2-3 months ago

Sound alike my old auto, even in manual mode it would do its own thing and change gears if it thought you were wrong haha.

DCT ftw
