Well, that, and also that I can basically buy TWO M3s for its price.

Just rented in Munich and got upgraded to an F-Type (how I love my status, hehe). Very neat car. Has some very ricey functions though.
Lol Glen.... You drive like you're on the track for daily driving?

M3 gives me a total range of about 300 to 320 kms and on the track it gives me 2 1/2 sessions. What's that like 80 kms?

I was accelerating fast to play around with it during my 20 minute drive and barely moved the estimated distance remaining.

Just like any car the faster you drive it the more you consume but to say your street driving habits would bring it from 480 range to 150 is quite impossible... Let alone even having a licence left.

Sadly, I do. I have a really, really heavy foot, and I don't believe in an acceleration curve... as far as I'm concerned, acceleration should be a step curve, and the Tesla is the closest car I've ever driven to providing one. :P Also, it doesn't actually have a 480 range, come on. That's marketing talk. I think they conservatively say 300, so 150 is only half of that, which is entirely reasonable with my driving habits.

Here, just as an illustrative point. I just spent a few days in an F-Type type S in Germany. Rated gas consumption is 11-13 L/100km. I was averaging between 20 and 27 (!). But boy did I have a great time. Life is too short to care about gas consumption.

Don't own a BMW anymore yet you are still active here?

What did you swap the Bavarian for?

Bummer. I was able to sale my dual AFE in under 5 days. I cant say so much so for all my M3 parts. Persistence is the key.

Don't forget all Bavtech cables can be cleared of all VINs once.

Even then, the flash I need it for does not use the BT licensing, so I can be consumed and it would still work.

Interesting - so you just need to flash without using a VIN? I could lend you mine then if it's for a short time. It has my Mini, my old E90 and montreal red's car and I don't want to reset it until I sell my Mini.

That would be awesome!

Here is what I was referring to:
This software requires a Bavarian Technic cable. The software does not use the BT licensing so it does not matter whether or not the BT cable is VIN locked and it will not consume a VIN within the cable. This software DOES NOT work with other USB->CAN cables such as those used for INPA & coding.
