Well done EB, most important part it that you got it done!

Would bother with the magnetic oil drain, just stick to oem.

any reason why? I wouldn't think there would be any disadvantages to a magnetic plug and they are cheap

It's what the oil filter is there for really, and most ppl here have very low oil change intervals.

I guess its one of those things, doesn't hurt to have.

I would be very interested at how much metal is in the oil after a low KM change.

I changed my friends oil the other day and could feel metal just by getting some in between my fingers.

When I changed my oil I couldn't feel any

Yep, it's a each to their own type of thing.

Read up on the pros and cons of them, then make your decision based on that.

Just had a read, cons are if the metal builds up over time and breaks off it could be in a large chunk that might damaged the engine, at the same time if you have lots of build up something is probably wrong.

Was reading on some other forums and people stick magnets on their oil filter pod.

I think changing your oil regularly and having a magnet would be good.

But having a magnet and not changing the oil could cause a big problem.

Sorry didnt see this mate, there is a know bug or issue with the ISO firmware that causes the water pump to turn on when the car is off, which of course drains the battery.

I believe its N55 JB4 ISO only and it doesn't effect every car, so im not sure and I dont think BMS know what the cause it exactly.

BMS have a fix for it that simply requires you to change where you power the JB4 from, the default JB4 install guide says t power it from a 50AMP fuse that is powered when the car is off, the fix is to change that to another power source that is ignition only, meaning the JB4 is dead when the car is off which in turn stops it from activating your water pump .

So to sum up, JB4 can work fine if you power it from that new source.

Ive been out of the loop, maybe the current ISO firmware has fixed the issue.

FINALLY!!!

!!!

!!!

MHD released their N55 E Series Stage 1 and 1+ maps for public beta, I purchased the flasher module and stage 2 map pack but cant use it for another week apparently, but for now ive flashed Stage 1+ and it feels great, more power then i ever felt with the JB4 map 2, no lag, its just good.

The flash took 35mins, it was easy as piss to do, no problems occurred.

The exhaust burble sounds exactly the same as the PPK flash burble, so similar im actually wondering if the MHD is doing it or if its still PPK? I left the MHD exhaust burble option default, 2 seconds i think it was.

Looking forward to stage 2+ next week and the ongoing improvements, features and updates of MHD.

No worries mate, I was thinking of JB4 at that time but now leaning to MHD

"The exhaust burble sounds exactly the same as the PPK flash burble, so similar im actually wondering if the MHD is doing it or if its still PPK?", from my memory, MHD used PPK`s talbe for exhaust burble, so it should come from PPK. Sound wise, MHD will not overwrite PPK.

How does MHD stage 1+ feel compared to JB4?

does MHD stage 2+ requires mods?

Stage 1+ feels much better, I can only compare JB4 map 2, but yeah, way more power, very fluid, snappy DCT gear changes still, responsive throttle, im very happy.

Stage 2+ requires FMIC, High flow/catless downpipe I think, download the app, its free, and have a look at the descriptions of the maps.

maybe sound a bit weird, but I prfer catted high-flow DP more than catless ones, simply because catless ones make too much noise for me. I still need some quiet in the cabin.

I put resonators in and it fixed that. I agree, catless downpipe and performance exhaust was super loud.

Any android device with OTG capable should be compatible as long as it's a high enough android version.
