Vinyl wrapping the roof trim on E90

Hi All,

I'm planning on wrapping the roof trim only on my e90 this weekend as it's chipping and it looks horrible. Have a couple questions for those of you that have done wrapping before:

1. Should I remove the existing finish on the trim before I wrap it? if so, what do you recommend I do to remove it? sand it off or use some spray to do it?
2. Should I wrap over the little doors on the trim? these are the ones you can open up and inside there are a couple screw holes - no idea what these are for..

thanks for your help!

I'd like to know how to remove it as well. I plan on wrapping my roof this weekend.

BTW, those "little doors" on the trim are mounting points for a roof rack.
