Getting jack stands on the rear.

Where do you guy jack up the car on the rear to get jack stands on the pads for the jack stands without damaging the under panels?

Somewhere on the rear differential, do a search i remember reading up on it before. But make sure you find out where cause you could damage the casing or the rear diff if you jack it up in the wrong spot
