New e9x m3 front end swap build thread. Bye e91, Hello e90. Lots of conversions...
Dilemma solved.
Sell e91 6mt and buy older e90 6mt and ess sc it. But the thing is I wanted to keep my old front end conversion. Well, I swapped them!!! Before: During: After: Next plans: Sell e91 Use e91 proceeds to buy ESS SC (currently backordered) LCI rear conversion Put on my stepped up 18" BBS RS Get an xCarLink for my CCC Navigation Rear view camera Possible front lip Steering wheel trim plus 6mt zhp shift knob Plus whatever else that comes up... Will keep post updated ***lci tails and cf trunk Test fit I actually installed it last night too. Looks good. Don't worry I'm planning on painting the cf trunk montego blue ... ***Update. Got rid of old silver steering wheel trim and got the m tech trim and 6MT ZHP shift knob Old trim: Ahhhhh much better: More to come... ***New updates: Added MM Interface with Rear View Camera for CCC: That's showing my wifi smartphone camera mirroring!!! My remus quad exhaust getting installed: New waterpump/thermostat: Decided to go against the BBS 18" RS conversion build when I luckily scored a set of uber rare original 3 piece WORK wheels with DDC lips...here's a quick test fit: More to come... I don't understand ditching the badass e91 for a run of the mill 328i sedan. I could understand if you were going to a 335, but.. Why?

Too be honest I was bored with the wagon...
I didn't want to put more money into supercharging the e91. I was able to score the e90 for cheap and gonna use the difference to supercharge it. Plus more parts are readily available for the e90. (Lci trunk, suspension, rear bumper options, etc) Oh I was gonna get the 335 but they are way too unreliable and to sc the n52, I would in essence get the best of both worlds (peppy enough/not like I'm gonna track it) And this e90 is definitely not going to be run of the mill after I'm done with it. |

And yes, the n52 sc has been reported to pack a punch. Especially the upgraded gen2 with the larger injectors. Can't wait. |
