Best suspension upgrade
I've heard good things about going with the M3 components, just want some more feedback.

Depends what you want to do. I'm adding AKG black subframe bushings, much firmer than M3, Kw V2 coil overs, m3 strut brace, and possibly M3 front control arms. I don't track it but want better handling. But by far the best handling improvement over stock is 19" rims with good non runflat tires.

M3 front control arms are sturdier design and will last longer in addition to better handling. They will provide better feed back but also little harsher ride. If you aren't driving aggressively on street/track and unless the stock aren't worn out you don't need them. Same with rear M3 toe and torque arms and rear m3 subframe bushings. Best upgrade so regular/normal driving would be struts/shocks, possibly rear subframe inserts and good non-RFT |

What do you have now?
What do you want to do with the car? Do you want performance based or simply looks based?

Right now I just have the BMW sport suspension. I want a more aggressive feel when I'm driving. So more on the side of performance as opposed to looks, but I'm sure it'll look good too. I know ECS has all the M parts I need. Tires will come later.

I'm getting conflicted opinions.. Thank you Fundguy, feuer, ri35i. I think I'll go with the
AKG black subframe bushings, M3 front/rear control arms, M3 strut brace, and the M3 sway bar. |

There si a lot of work involved in doing the subframe bushings. I would opt for inserts which you can do yourself in couple of hours max. Spend the money on good springs, shock/struts and non rft |

Coilovers. Personal preference on those. I'd do your research. Generally you get what you pay for.I would talk to the vendors about your options and suspension needs. Especially Harold at HP Autosport.

Im in the same boat right now, literally my car feels like I'm driving a boat. That is with the exception of the fact that I can feel every bump in the road and it sucks! Last year I needed to replace my front bushing so I opted for M3 bits. I still have stock on the back along with the stock sport suspension. Im thinking I may have made a mistake in using the M3 parts.
I want the same feeling I had when it was new but also have a better handling feel for when I open it up. Having all the power I have (FBO w/Cobb AP) isn't fun right now. Actually its kinda scary. While I've done one track day with my car I doubt I'll ever take it back again. BTW, I have 68k on the car. I would have thought the suspension would have lasted longer than this! Any advice on what I should get to have the old car back (read: gentle around town) but allows me to get all the power to the ground as well? (BTW, yes, I have done HOURS of research on this forum but am no closer to finding an answer) |

Yeah I didn't spare any money on good tires! I might as well just go with the full sub
frame bushings they sound better. That then the M3 front&rear control arms. I'm still deciding on what to do as far as Coilovers. |
