I am "roughly" 4Xhp plus right now with the S/C, quite what will happen to the engine's internal I do not know, will have to fix it when the time comes I guess. As for N/A, I search the internet and thought the gain (from N52B30 3-stage 265ps) is typically about 15~20hp max?

They are estimates and don't actually add up to 40, they add up to 44.
N52 estimates for 3IM. But I get what you are saying, not all additive, but somewhat. |

I guess if you started out as a 328i/325i, ~40hp from all that is feasible (basically 200whp or less to ~240whp). If it's an automatic, it will be less of course...
but if you already have an x30i, it's going to to be tougher since the engine starts out with a better tune to begin with. |

Really?
I have that P-exhaust backbox right from the start, I did not mention it at all because I believe it does absolutely nothing. I can't feel the difference anyway apart from ... hm.... a deeper sound?

I've read 335 guys with stage 1 complaining that they did not feel much difference from stock, and these guys are gaining 40-50 hp |

A little unhappy with ess tuning map in particular the torque output, I decided to go for a custom remap based on the same alpha-n arrangement. My tuner is able to extract 30 extra hp from the pure ess setup, resulting in a 300 wheel hp figure. My tuner said the setup should be good for another 20hp if I go for Meth injection during high boost, but I am not interested at the moment. Current figure has already exceeded my expectation. Original pulley from ESS, 120mm.
(NOT the high boost 115mm pulley) Injectors are BOSCH E92 M3 spec.

Those are a lot better numbers, so when you say stock, I'll asume it's with the 3si, has anyone mentioned anything about running say a single or n54 intake with this? Is this with the use of e85?

I think I have to give credit to where credit is due here. I undersatnd ESS is not particularly helpful in some cases, and that they are not able to make the AA header works with the SC for some reason; but the hardware they produced is certainly top notch, the orginal Alpha-N map they provided is very stable to my EU version N52B30, it's just not making as much power as it can.
My tuner may have extracted an extra 37hp and produced a better torque curve profile, but the setting on low rev (0~3000rpm) was untouched simply because it runs very stable. Quote:
Can't comment on things I do not know of, better wait for someone more qualify to do so.

It just goes to show that there was meat on the bone, ess may of maxed this engine out and backed off as some sc tuners do. It still would have been better if there was stages that could be offered with this. We all knew a sc of this caliber was well capable of making great power, they all do, it was only a matter of time a tuner would take it there. Those are the numbers we should be seeing. Credit to both
