Hi,

would anyone have any information about the D1S and D2S headlights and what's the difference? It seems that the Finnish customs list only D2S as the accepted model and I wonder if I have to change? I have a 2007 E90 335i.

PS. I already got the rear fog lights to work by replacing the switch

D2S bulbs are for use in previous models (e.g. E46). Newer cars like the E90 use D1S bulbs.

D2S does not have the igniter built on the back of the bulb like a D1S does.

Ok, thanks! It then sounds like they need to update their list, which may become an issue depending on the customs officer... D1S should be fine if the "older" D2S is...

I think I'll still have to ask them just to be sure...

Kerro sitten miten sulla kävi katsastuksen kanssa, mun '07 335i coupe lähtee ensi vuoden alussa Suomeen myös
