Procom Racing Review, Toms River NJ

Hey everyone my names Joe and a little back round on my 335i, I purchased it about a year ago completely bone stock with around 64k on it. Love the car, coming from a Subaru Wrx I'm not sure why this car is so over looked but anyway my review is of Procom Race Systems out of Toms River.

I had a few bolt on's, Injen DCI, VRSF catback and a Cobb AP. I tackled most of my work on my own but doing the VRSF downpipes was a little more than what I wanted to tackle in my garage so I started looking for shops in my area. It came down to two shops, Procom and another I cant remember the name because they never called me back with a full estimate. So I talked to Joe at the front desk, he called me back promptly with a price and time so it was settled. I got there, Matt one of the techs handled my install and I got to watch everything because they have a window in the waiting room of the whole shop which allowed me to feel a little more comfortable actually seeing my work get done rather than being kept in the dark. Also one of the cleanest shops I've been to, usually I'm sitting on some old family's thrown out couches but not here, it was very well kept.

I believe it took around 2 hours, they brought me in after it was done to express a few of their concerns. They showed me I had a few oil leaks and we set up a date to come back and changed everything out. Ever since they have been my shop of choice. They recently tuned me on pump and a race fuel attitive which we achieved 400/450 on a mustang 500. Also installed my spec 2+ clutch in one day which I was very impressed by.

Its hard to find a well rounded shop who calls you back on time and keeps you 100% in the loop. That's Lou and his team at Procom.

I never write reviews but he deserves it. If your looking for a shop to handle your N54 or N55 hes the guy. Ive been seeing more and more 335s in the ocean county area and wanted you guys to know my experience. Hope this helps.

Yes sir, from the last I spoke with him he ordered a new snap on blasting machine so Im sure he'll do a very low entry priced cleaning. Cant be more than 2 - 3 weeks. If anyone else you know wants to sign up to do it have them pm me. Im going to make a thread once he's ready and see if we can all lock in a good price.

Lou's actually doing turbo upgrade work to my brothers wrx.

Nice place, he practically built it from the ground.

Yea it's nice to see him doing well for himself. I initially met him 3-4years ago out on 37. Good guy for sure.

Side bar does anyone actually still go out to 37? I haven't been out there in a solid 3 years.

I've been out to the first meet recently out on 37 last month over near the Kmart and kohls. Nice little turnout especially since it was cold.

Only 3-4 bimmers though, and a hellrot boosted e36 which was nice

What meet? As far as I've seen there's hardly ever any BMW's on 37, let alone an actual meet.

Came from a subaru also, I most likely will never go back. These N54's have so much more potential.

I agree with OP entirely. I went in today for a tune up and they were very professional, you can tell that Procom isn't just your average shop that slaps things together and then sends you out on the road knowing that your car wasn't taken care of. I definitely like the window that allows you to see into the shop, because let's face it, we all want to see exactly what is going on with our cars whenever it's brought in for work. Along with the waiting room and overall cleanliness, I was most impressed with the work that they did and I can safely say that my car is back in business and running better than ever, not to mention that I didn't have to break my budget just to have my car fixed. I can definitely see myself re-visiting in the future for any type of maintenance or mods (they even do fender rolling!) and the fact that it's close by is even more of a plus. For anyone who is located down the shore, this is probably the best place to bring your car for mods or repairs.

Yessir that was mine I'll be going to them for an alignment probably right before Bimmerfest East after my new wheels and tires come in. Gotta have rear fenders rolled too, so I'm gonna have them do that as well. Eventually I'll go for a valve cleaning haha
