JB4 Mobile Android App Pics

Finally was able to connect my LG GPad Lte 7.0 to JB4 Mobile App via OTG. All I can say is it is just awesome another reason to enjoy my car.

App is available for iOS & Android.

iOS requires proprietary bluetooth dongle for $138 and has a 2 month wait.

Android can work with OTG cable and the parts are listed below. Best-buy or frys in you area should have everything.

Iconnect 6ft male to female usb cable $5.99
iconnect micro usb OTG cable. $4.99
JB4 Mobile App. $27.99

App is a sticky over on N54tech and just search OTG cable on Amazon for one, they are really cheap.

Hey just so i'm clear, you bought a regular OTG cable, plugged that into the USB cable for the JB4, purchased the app from the store and it was plug and play? After reading many posts on the JB4 mobile app, i thought both iphone and Android needed a special OTG cable ?

Does it read boost accurately?

That's correct. The one I bought was just a regular cable and it works perfectly. What model phone are you trying to use it with?

Well since i dont want to wait 2+ months for the iphone bluetooth wire, i was thinking of trying to set this up on a samsung Galaxy S 3 running android 4.3 for a 2013 E92 n55 335i.

I just bought the USB cable from BMS. I plug that into the back of the JB4 G5, use the iconnect male to female wire to connect into that, then finally use the micro usb OTG cable to connect to that wire and into the phone? Thats how you wired it and it work? no other settings to adjust?

Also, you did not need a powered USB hub?

really appreciate the help and quick feedback!!

Yeah that's all you need. With a galaxy S3, you don't need appeared hub. That's why I asked which phone type planning on using it with. But the galaxy will work.

How did you run the wire? Did you bring it in through the glove box? Then how did you hide it and make it come out on the driver side to connect to the phone?

I ran it through the glove box and just pulled out out of there when I was using it. I had the phone mounted in the center with a suction cup holder.

- Its the 6.5 feet Male to Female USB cable. That way you can run the wire around the dash and onto the the left side.

You might be able to use your iPhone or iPad if you use this cable instead (lighting to female USB) http://www.amazon.com/HIOTECH-Premiu...+to+female+usb

I wanted to try it but did not want to risk the $30 app since I already purchased it on my Android.
