So I hit a curb going about 10mph. what did I do?

I need an alignment now, lower part of bumper is scratched to hell, and I have some new curb rash on the front left rim.

I noticed something else too. While driving home about 40mph I felt some very odd "shifting" coming from the front left end.

Could it be the balancing on the tire? I didnt notice any vibrating though.

The alignment is way off now, i will take a pic of the steering wheel position tomarrow. I dont know what else could be wrong. I will take her on a road test tomarrow to see if I can figure out what that "shifting" is.

bring it to your mechanic to take a look at it, or the stealership if you have the money. Its quite possible to damage the suspension when you hit the curb. I'd have it checked out asap, better safe than sorry right?

I will put it on a lift tomarrow to see if that will help me find anything. The dealers rate is $90/h but I dont think they could get me in till Nov. The hurricanes here in Sept flooded a lot of cars and they are so backed up.

Well I called up the closest and only BMW dealer and they told me $120 for a complete alignment. They cant do it themselves but they use a shop for all of thier cars.

I hope they can get me in tonight.

The shop said anytime between now (8am) and 2pm and they close at 2. The asked me if I need a 4 wheel or front end alignment. Since my front tire hit the curb hard and since my rear wheel just rolled over it, I will just get a front end alignment.

They told me a front end will cost $49.99 plus tax while a 4 wheel is $119.99.

My figers are crossed!
