European Auto Source (EAS) - 3 Months and Still No Order
EAS was running a Black Friday special on their Redline products. I received an e-mail from them advertising this special on 11/23/2011 at 7:27PM. I placed my order that same night around 8:53PM. My order consisted of 2 quarts of D4 Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid and 2 quarts of 75W90 Synthetic Gear Oil...not a very big order.
After a month goes by, I notice that I still haven't received my order so I contact EAS for a status update. This is what I receive: Quote:

Sounds like a very fair and reasonable review of the vendor and the issue you had. Hopefully after this they will come through w the product or some answers. I'm assuming you were charged for the order, or not until it shipped?

Wow. Then that's ridiculous. I know it's not a lot of money, but still. They should've refunded it after the first "backorder" issue and agreed to lock you in on the price when the product became available again.

Have you actually asked for a refund or just status updates? It sucks, but they obviously can't ship items that are backordered. Now, if you asked for a refund and they didn't reply or said no, that would be one thing, but it seems like you only asked for status updates.

That was the point, to clear the shelves from old inventory. Seemed to work a little too well.
