Exhaust sound tunning

i know there have been countless threads about which exhaust sounds better and such but i want to know is there any way we can tune our exhuast to sound deep down low and have a high pitched Italian sound up top. my father just bought a maserati GT and that sounds amazing must be the ferrari v8 in there but regardless made me rethink my strategy if anyone has a custom exhaust that resonates or "funnels"(i believe its the term used) chime in with how you got that noise

What do you think?
Do you think our german twin turbod 3.0 inline 6 is going to sound like a naturally aspirated italian v8?

yes it can with the right tubing the exhaust note could be very similar regardless of what exhaust you put on the engine is going to sound the same but what comes out of the pipes is very different

This will be very hard to achieve on the n54, but if you figure it out let me know

BMW Performance Exhaust sounds like this (deep down low and exotic screaming sound up top), especially with catless downpipes and secondary cats not removed. But it's no V8 sound, that's for sure..

Does it lose this characteristic when you remove the secondaries and put in resonators?

pretty sure you will be filthy rich if you find a way to make an exhaust sound anywhere near a maserati v8.

i agree with this somewhat.

that exhaust notes can be tuned like a pipe organ. i see no reason why certain frequencies can't be artificially produced. the question is how much flow this will restrict

It will never sound like a V8 no matter how much money you throw at it. Period.

Can't figure out how to post the video from my iPhone, just search Hpf 335i and click my name penn335. The longest video shows the most broad spectrums of the exhaust.

HPF sounds nothing like a Maserati. A fully catless HPF exhaust downpipes sounds more like an M1 Abrams
