If you put your front windshield defroster on I find it tends to keep the wiper blades free-ish of ice, but you have to keep doing it from early on. If you let them get totally jammed up and then do it it won't get rid of all the ice. And you sometimes get really hot in the car, but at least you can see.

Meh .... that's what Calgary has looked like for an entire week now. Only difference is it's still warm in the big Smoke, it's about -40C here in Calgary with the wind chill.

I dunno man. I didn't raise my car again this year (SMRG!) and drove around no problem today. You've seen my back alley; imagine it with a foot of snow. I do have a lot of weight in the rear, though.

And yes, we know you AB's have it rough, you love to remind us. The answer: move. BTW, it's -22C right now, not exactly beach weather.

Thanks! I was actually doing that. It also helps that the front defroster fan speed can be adjusted so it's not as noisy. I noticed if I didn't clear all the snow and ice on the wiper blades and the gap beneath the hood, the washer fluid will be blocked and won't come out and the ice will gum up again...

I can't imagine driving right now. I wouldn't get out of my driveway, never mind my street.

Not only that, it's not worth the risk with the horrid drivers on the road. My friend got rear ended a couple hours ago..

I had fun today though. Stayed home from work, around 12:30 I battled traffic over to the parking lots at D&B and spent 30-40 minutes drifting in the parking lots.

Was working on maintaining oversteer (as well as just having fun of course) still need practice, but I made some pretty good progress today!

Fun fun fun. I love RWD in the snow.

That was a crazy storm, today... we got around 20cim in my area. Lots of people left their car at the plaza and walk to their houses to avoid getting stuck. As soon as I pulled in my street there must of been 3 cars stuck with flashing blinkers.

One of them might have been me. I drove home from downtown last night to Oakville and made it all the way, including onto my street that was not plowed, but I got hung up on the snow trying to turn out of the tracks and into my driveway. Had to leave the car on the street with the hazards flashing until I shovelled a path to my garage. Just as I finished a jeep wrangler on the street drove up pulled up behind my car and I think he was laughing watching me pull into my driveway on the path I cleared as he merrily plowed his way down the street. On days like this I need a few more inches of ground clearance, but everything else worked well.

It's supposed to rain on Wednesday, it was originally 15mm of rain but they have the temp at 3C now, so it should be pretty gross wet snow/rain. Gonna make for some fun flying.

Wait until a quiet moment, then phone it! They are tough, and can work fine after you leave it to dry.

Otherwise, you were simply destined to get a Storm for Xmas
