Just had to mention this youtube clip, one of many on the GT-R - as a retort to those who believe and who may very well be right (Carlos being one of them) that Nissan have faked all the times at the Ring blah, blah - just watch this clip and tell me you need a car to go any faster!!!! 7:29 or not, personally i couldnt care less, mainly because even if the car could do it in 3 mins, im never gonna be doing it in mine, ever!!! Even if this clip is somehow faked from a timing point of view - its still f**king rapid as hell!!

I also love the comment made about half way down that says the folllowing;
"Why only be able to take one friend round the nurburgring and scare the shit out of them when you can take 3 others and scare even more shit out of them!"

Very true and i will no doubt be scaring the shit out of a few people, including myself, this very coming weekend!!!

Actually you are correct this time - should be 'lose'.

No one could be as kind and genuine as you.

Thanks for the personal comment - very nice of you and shows much maturity. Now best behave yourself Hooper lol.

A few people have asked me this - as far as im aware the only main differences are the RED flashes on the leather seats and door cards/handles, the extended leather dash and then the anthracite alloys. But some non-Black Ed customers special ordered the Black Ed alloys on their base models. Its all cosmetic i believe - the engine/performance etc is all the same. I basically wanted the highest spec and model available but was too impatient to wait for the sat nav to come out in Sept!! I think there are base models, premium models, black edition models, in sept there will be sat nav and then the spec V of course!!

V spec is due as soon as sept? Was the black ed available last year in Japan? If so some imported models could also be black ed.

Also have the imported cars prices dropped drastically since april?

No mate - the sat nav edition is out in Sept - ive no idea when the official release date is for the Spec V. All prices have taken tumbles - but the worst hit have been the Jap imports (like the one SteveA mentioned) and thats mainly because they have no valid warranty and on a car like this its too big a gamble to take. Hence why i waited for the UK cars to become available (which was only last couple of months) - the Black Edition just makes it that little bit more exclusive and so will help retain some of its price - but all brand new cars will lose money regardless of how good or sort after they are. I wouldnt touch a Jap import thats been tuned to 650bhp where all the dials are in Japanese and KPH etc with a barge pole - but if you want one you can get them for around £45k now!!

The SatNav voice on the import cars is all in Japanese of course so completely useless. Aren't the buttons & menus in Japanese too (the lettering as opposed to the pictures).

Wouldn't a thought so, there'd be no reason to build in that function, why would they go to the effort just for the odd person that decides to import one. Might be a John Cleese download for it though
