This is truly one of those individual preference questions. To me, Nikki's picture above puts the car in a fantastic light. That said, not a big fan of the spoiler. Kind of a toss-up, but I think the spoiler looks contrived and diminishes the symmetry of the rear lines.....again, just IMO. No design degree here.

I completely agree with you. I bought the spoiler and returned it the next day. Just a matter of personnal taste though.

Its not that it doesn't belong there. It does.

What BMW did is intentionally shape the trunk in such a way that it gives the car just that little bit of an empty look.....so that you could go out & spend the extra $300+ to get the back end of the car to look complete.

In all reality, BMW could have easily shaped the trunk to make it look exactly like it already has the spoiler attached.

I'm getting mine installed on Friday!

Now I wonder why its called a spoiler because on some cars it really is true to its name. Ahh well, that's the English language for you.

It does, doesn't it. That little rise at the tail end of the boot (trunk) causes a fair bit of rainwater to accumulate in front of it so when you open the lid, the water is forced to run down the sides of the boot's main framework. I noticed a plastic/metal joint that is not sealed. Some water can run under the plastic but I noticed most of it runs over the plastic and down to the ground.

Just an initial observation. No big deal.
