Do I Need to Change My Wipers?

Hey guys, do you think I have to change my wipers or is there something with my windshield?

Skip to 0:40 for the wiper blade sounds.

I just want to make sure its the blades and not the windshield before I go to the dealer to get them replaced for 80 bucks

Get new ones.

PLEASE dont go to the dealer to get new ones.

I got some really good Bosch wipers at walmart for 30 bucks and put them in myself.

(just make sure you do one wiper at a time because you do not want to accidentally drop the wiper arm onto the windshield with no wiper because then you would have a broken windshield)

Edit: just saw you're in Canada. Just get them at your local auto parts store.

auto wipers set too aggressively? (wipers running over a dry windshield)

I *think* LCIs are different but pre-LCI OEM are Valeo Ultimate, cheaper through Tire Rack or Amazon than dealership. Supposedly there are specials occasionally, waiting on one to pick up a spare set because they're still not cheap... working fine for me so far.

Do make sure your windshield is clean when you replace the wipers. I actually went so far as to wipe mine down with acetone when I replaced mine, then washed as normal, but they don't skip!

Another tip: lay a folded towel under the wiper arm you are working on in case the arm slips out of your hand without the blade attachment.

I just put the Bosch part number for the Icons in amazon and you can get a set for $47.78.

That's the only place I looked though, shop around online if your local shop is overcharging for them by a lot. I can't believe they are charging more than dealer for wipers.

Yea, I am getting Bosch for sure. Its just that amazon canada does not carry then nor does Bosch.com ship to Canada. Guess the only way is to go to the dealership.
