Centre console question

Under the armrest my console has the clip in section to put your phone in.
Ive got no idea what phone its for, and I will never use it anyway.

Does anyone know if the bit in this photo is a clip in one, or part of the whole console?
If its a separate bit, do you know the part number?
Id rather have the oddments tray to put my iPod in, rather than have the useless phone clip in thing sitting there doing nothing!
