Question Buying angel eye bulbs in Canada?

One of my parking lights has bit the dust, and I'm shopping for bulbs.
Dealer wants $74 per bulb, so looks like I might as well get aftermarket.

I have a Pre-LCI 328xi

Horizon LED bulbs look to be pretty good and their price is better than most even with shipping from the UK.

Has anyone in Canada bought these? Were there additional duties to pay on arrival?

Don't bother with any other brands than LUX or MTEC.

^^^^ i have read this often since i did mine. I did it for the same reason, original replacements were essentially the same as led's. I suppose i didn't do as much research as i could have, i went with weisslicht from bimmian.com.

I was originally looking at LUX because it seems to be the mostly widely used, but they don't currently have any stock for my car because they're redesigning them.

It's always a challenge to predict the duties/brokerage fees when buying from outside the country because sometimes they can be more than the cost of the product itself.

There's someone who sells MTEC in Toronto, you should check that out.

Are they on this site? Buying local/within Canada would definitely be much preferred!

Which dealer did you speak with, because my bulb burned out and they were quoting me $50 at maranello.

I ended up finding a used one free.

Wow, that's a pretty big variance in price. Endras in Ajax quoted me ~$74 +tax for the bulb assembly (bulb and the reflector piece)

Maybe if I wait until boxing day a vendor will have LED ones on sale.
