Just installed and tried out the new 1/5 maps and latest firmware. I always wait for the non-beta releases and compared my old 9/5 maps these are awesome. Strong, instant wheel-spinning power in 1st and a crisp shift into 2nd without the slight pause in power delivery at WOT I used to feel during this shift. Driveability and power are great!

They will know for sure if you leave it in there. That much I can asure you. If I were you, I'd make sure to remove it first. Why take chances?

No doubt. These guys drive stock 335's all day long, every day. Even if they just drive it around the block after service they'll know immediately whent they hit the gas. And even if you leave it in and they don't mention anything, it doesn't mean they couldn't tell you had a tune; it could mean they made a note in the vehicle records, which follow the car...

In any case the whole point of any PnP tune is easy install/removal in minutes. There's no excuse to leave it in for service.

If it really is your only mod on the car, you should just take it out. To go through the pain to take the dp's off, I might as well put the car on valet and hope he just notices the exhaust tone.

Hi guys, today i update to the new procede maps, the weather here in North Greece didn't allow me to try these maps earlier(For 4 weeks the temparatures were below 0C and every 3-4 days it was snowing). I have to say that the car has a completly diffirent response! I tried out in 2c degres with rain but in a very good tarmac and with antispin off the car pulls right at first, second and third gear(i had to correct it with a little left steer to keep it under control). My passenger scared a lot from the brutal throtle and i like a lot how the car feels now. A few observations:1) I noticed a deeper sound even from the idle(which is good) 2) In some datalogs i made, i saw very stable boost but when i close the throtle the boost spike had been increased to 21psi, from 16,9psi with the older maps. Is this ocured because now the butterfly staying open all the time and when it suddently close there is more presure in the manifold than with the older maps? 3) I notice for some moments a ignition correction of -2 and at one boost spike -4 is this ok? (I also have Ign corrections and with the older maps around -2).
I am very happy with the new maps and once again Shiv is tha Man!!!! Thanks

I have been looking for a thread that is just aimed at the new 1-5 Maps but haven't seen anything specific.

I have a few questions for Shiv though:
  • With the 12-15 Maps you said that if you live in a high altitude location, it might be a good idea to disable the lag fix. This was an issue for me as I live at 4200 feet and the car had problems until I disabled it. Is this still a issue with the 1-5 maps?
  • I noticed that in the new 1-5 maps the default boost max boost target is set to 17. It seems like up until now *most* people have tried to keep boost under 15, is there a reason for this bump?
  • Also the default tq settings are at 90% now, should this be decreased for higher altitude applications?

Thanks!
Adam

That isn't the boost target, that is a trigger for the over-boost safety feature

I believe the lagfix high altitude problem was fixed prior to the 12-15 maps. I should know as I had the problem and was one of the first to test out the fix. So this should no longer be a problem with future maps. All features as of the latest 3.2beta maps are high altitude compliant Up to 10,000ft anyways. I can't drive any higher.

As JPSIMON mentioned it is just a set at 17 for the failsafe. Boost hits 17psi the failsafe goes into valet mode.

I wouldn't lower the UT settings. I live at 7,000ft and have actually raised them to 92-93 to achieve a bit more boost while not hitting the failsafe for WG DC.

I barely go past ~11psi. I dunno what it is. maybe I'm too chicken to push it with 2 speeding tickets on my record.

Good to know thanks man! What boost are you able to achieve at 92%?

IIRC, I think I'm right around 13psi. I really need to get a FMIC.

+1

Since becoming non-beta, PROcede calculates baro pressure on-the-fly so there should be no issue with lagfix and high altitude. And yep, that boost limit value is just the boost limit value. You can lower it if you want to just 0.5-1psi higher than the boost your normally see. No harm in that. If you lower it too much, all you risk is tripping the safety switch and triggering the valet mode

It doesn't matter which Procede you have. You need the PnP harness (all connections) and that's it. So yes, you can install it and putt a smile on your face.
