Happy Easter everyone! Intercooler upgrade has begun

Hey all, happy holiday weekend if your the Easter type or not.

Took the lazy day to pull the front bumper and MM underpanel/splitter off with my step daughter.

Decided to pull it out to take some photos with the fender liners (being replaced) off. Loving the 255 square Michelin PSS setup! amazing grip so far though i'm spinning on the onset of boost in 3rd gear lol.

Also happened to be her birthday!! a lil sweet red ryder for her first gun

die breakfast corn dog

Dog hating me

and the car, old blacked out intercooler still on.

meats!

I'll keep this thread updated once the car gets to the welder tomorrow.

current one is way bigger than a n54 IC.....good for ~500hp of flow but thats all the kit was spec'd out for. I've upgraded basically everything else other than the exhaust manifold at this point.......thats the next big upgrade

Finally got the car back from Zury's after nearly a month. He got backed up and took longer than planned, but I am certainly happy with the end result.

Went with a 24x4x12 which has to be shoehorned in this car if your running a electric pusher fan. Had to be angled to fit in. Also the biggest hurdle for Brian was the need for my Motion underpanel to have its supports installed which are directly in the way of the charge piping from the turbo. He worked it out and still was able to fit a 3" intake pipe in place of the oval pipe I had before.

I lost my brake ducts but i'm ok with that, they aren't functional on this car anyway at least from the factory.

Now to decide if I want to keep the pipes polished, powdercoat them red....or black. Oh the choices.

The bottom line though is the car is pulling like a beast, best I've ever felt it. Just like Rukman said this was the upgrade that unleashed the beast when your upgrading the TT stg II kit piece by piece.

the pics

As I picked it up

clears the underpanel supports

Transition to 3"

Installed all new fender liners and hardware. Had to be a little bit of trimming on both sides to clear the charge piping but it was very minimal, all back together

After a great drive today, cold side charge pipe was totally cool to the touch after the drive....its working!!!!
