Clutch Delay Valve removal long term effects and Poll

Quick poll to see who has removed/modified their CDV or plans to do so

Quick question: Do you really think our drivetrain is will not be able to handle the occasional shock that comes with removing the CDV (ocassional mis shift)? Say if one intends to keep the car for 10 years/long-term.

How detrimental do you guys think it is over the long term?

It increases your clutch life. I ran it for 60,000 miles. The CDV tends to put a little more strain and can cause the clutch to slip.

i will soon be changing this cdv

ive always driven stick and with the cdv, i feel to much clutch slip, i hate it !

is their a big difference between a removed cdv and a modified cdv?

This is what I'm trying to gauge?

I think RMP motors in Toronto can remove the CDV...

But if some of the members could give us feedback, how it has changed their clutch engagement?

And what ur thoughts on drivetrain effects are?

I took out the CDV and think the clutch engagement feels much better. Removing it has greatly improved my driving experience. As for long-term driveline effects, I am not worried. I have driven plenty of cars without a CDV and had no problems and it's not like I am going to be drag racing my car.

To be clear, did you have your car for 60,000 miles, then get a new car, or did your clutch only last 60,000 miles? Because even 60,000 miles seems like a short clutch life.
