Louis Vuitton ligit websites to purchase?

Is there a better place to purchase LV bags from besides the actual LV site?

Debating getting one for my girl for xmas... Was wondering if any websites had them on sale slightly... maybe like neiman marcus or something??

thanks

Your girl(friend) or girl (child)?

LV def does not discount.

A funny story: I was at the rodeo store once and this guy said to the clerk "Well I definitely like your products but I will come back to buy when there is a sale." the clerk replies with "Sir Louis Vuitton does not have sales". Lmao you should have seen the look on this guys face.

My X worked for them as a product manager.
Do you know each hand bag costs them all of....$20 maybe...including the cost of shipping and taxes?

So...$20 hand bag that you will pay $200 for...which she will use for all of 6 months...

A set of fake tits? Or maybe a Liberator? Or......a nice sex toy! Now those are gifts that keep on giving! and giving and yes...giving!

If you are buying a "luxury" product then you are going to pay the premium-theres no point in even asking about "sale" in the world of luxury retail. You always buy LV's from the store to ensure that its real and not fake. If you want, you can always buy your girl a fake Louis Vuitton from Korea. I was told that Louis Vuitton sends all their bags to Korea to get them sewn together, then they send it back to Paris for finishing touches. The left over fabric is then scrapped together to make a "fake" louis vuitton bag. So in a sense, the material is genuine but the bag is fake (no serial number)- so make sure to tell your girl its fake cause if she brought it into the real LV store for repairs, she would walk out in embarassement when the clerk tells her "sorry, its a fake". Why not buy her a nice coach bag or even Michael Kors?

Including top to bottom expenses of R&D and build and ship and over head cost...according to the girl who worked for the company....$20 per bag for a $200 clutch...you know not a hand bag but the small fucking thing the women buy to look good when they are outside of the club but your sorry hass has to carry it around all fucking night...and god forbid you get it wet or drop it on the floor or piss on it!

Can you belive that shit!? I don't mean to be rude but....wow women can be stupid!
I mean if she was going to drop that kind of money...drop it on shoes! Shit or a trip!
Not on a freaking clutch/hand bag! WTF?

But hey WTF do i know?

Unfortunately your ex is wrong. Looks at LVMH's financials, they are a public company. They operate at around 65% GM. That would mean a $200 clutch (which doesn't exist from LV) actually costs $70. $20 would mean 90% GM, which is basically only attainable for software and pharmaceutical companies.

OP, as other said, there is never a sale, and never buy anywhere other than the store or the official website.

The LV clutch I bought my GF was over $300. You cannot get any size LV bag for $200. The purse she wanted was $1800, for a damn purse.

You knew a girl that worked at a retail store? Unless she worked financials she would not know that, and if she did then she is lying to you.

There is absolutely no way that it costs LV that little to produce any of their products. The craftsmanship on their products is unbelievable.

It's possible for the simple items the cost of materials and shipping is $20, but no way it's actual cost for LV is that low. Wages, rent, utilities, R&D and advertisements will triple or quadruple that figure.

JUDAAS! $1,800 for a fucking bag! Are you serious!
My x was a product manager for Channel not LV though she had many friends who did and they were also cute and fun and very very smart!
If you want to ever meet amazing women look there! My x had to masters one i math and the other in marketing. Simply amazing women...shame the distance thing was too much...but i digress!

$1,800 for a freaking bag! WTF! To put that in perspective, add another $200 and you can obtain you’re A license for skydiving.
$1,800 is a ticket to Australia?
$1,800 is a vacation to Belize where you can stay for a week and learn how to scuba dive?

And yeah $20/$60….who cares! That’s my god profit margin for something that has really no intrinsic value and has a customer shelf life of what…6 months?
Hookers and blow may bring you more joy than one of those bags…but per speaking with my x regarding the subject she did make it sound like it was the hookers and blow for many women. Forgoing feeding their kids or going into massive debt just to have that next bag.

But amazingly my x, knowing where these things come from and their true worth…preferred $200 bags made by her friends who were artists. Like I said she was a very amazing woman.

Either way man good luck with whatever you are buying her. As for quality….really? Is it real quality or are you just justifying the cost?
Leather is leather is leather is leather…especially when it’s died and printed and stitched by machine?

...And that would be your opinion. Some people might think that $2000 to jump out of a plane is a waste of money. Some people might think a $50,000 BMW is wasteful when you can buy a Honda for $20,000 or less that serves the same purpose.

It's no secret that there is a huge profit margin on luxury items. The majority of people that have the discretionary income to buy these things know that.

And now that your "ex" worked at Chanel, not LV, you're story and its pricing becomes even more unrealistic. I bought my wife one of the least expensive Chanel bags last year, at a cost of $4500. They don't make anything in the realm of $200. It's pretty clear you have no understanding of the luxury goods market by your shell shock of an $1800 bag.

Look I'm a straight man...what do i know or care about how much a hand bag costs?
$1,800 that's 9 jumps! $200 more and you can jump by your self and only pay $25 per jump!
And at least $50k for a car...well you have it for a while.
Shucks man! $1,800.....that's a trip to South Africa! =)

Oh well. good luck OP...I hope you don't go broke buying what ever you are going to buy. But just remember....in the end...it only cost what...$100 and they charged you $1,000 and for that she better make you one hell of a nice dinner!
