Would it not be cheaper to have your existing glass tinted with decent Lumar film?
Aslong as such films do not interfere with the aerial contained within the glass.........

my rear window was replaced by pentagon with the tinted one (because they will not apply film to it due to its curvature). This plus the rear side windows tinted cost me about £600 - i can recommend pentagon in lisburn very highly - very professional service. if you bought from prentice in omagh they may go easy on you....!

I have a coupe with untinted back windows and like most would prefer them tinted to the factory sun protection level.
I thought it would just be a case of getting them tinted with film at my local window tinters. They wouldn't touch it. They say that the back window in the coupe is a nightmare to do and that I wouldn’t be happy with the results. There are small dots along the top edge which the film doesn’t stick to very well. It leaves a visible lighter line round the edge and water/moisture can creep in. Does this sound right, or have I been spun a tale? |

I think they should be congratulated for being so honest and up-front.

My suspicion was that it was maybe too fiddly and intricate for them to do and they didn’t feel it was worth the hassle for the money they could charge.
You are right though. If genuine they gave good advice. I just wondered what results others have had with coupe tinting? |

It can be done but really needs the window to come out and the film to be baked onto the inside of the glass.
Pentagon will do this. I know a firm out in Surrey that'll do a glass out job for £350. Can't say fairer than that. Will post results once mine has been done, allbeit I have a saloon not a coupe... pm me if any interest btw guys..
