Walked into the garage yesterday, heavy gas fumes. Pulled out the backseat, nothing at the pump inteface or any fumes inside vehicle. Smell is strongest inside wheel wells. Nothing dripping or feels wet, but something let go .

Mine was leaking from the DMTL pump and charcoal canister. The charcoal canister can fill up with fuel from overfilling/topping up. That should be the first thing you check.

Charcoal canister is located on the left side of the car under the bumper.
So the left rear, behind the wheel well. Is that where you smelled it? Also, I recommend, taking the rear bumper off, and take it to a shop to do a smoke test... That will tell you where the issue is. DN |

Okay so update. I didn't realize the fuel filter / regulator was on the opposite side of t tank from the fuel pump. So I pulled the cover off and guess what? fuel all over the top of it. That cover is damn good at sealing out fumes, cause I can't smell a thing inside the car. Is the filter / regulator easy to change out?

Going to drop it off Thursday morning. It's too darn hot to work in a garage that doesn't have air conditioning. I can't believe a seven-year-old car with 50,000 miles can have plastic that is that degraded already. Ridiculous.......
