No info about the crossing, but I found another New York shipping status website that appears to know about the TAGUS voyage (unlike firstnynj.com):

Unless Tagus shows up on sailwx.info, which is a ship's voluntary weather reporting, you won't be able to track her until she gets to Halifax. I just tracked Don Juan in and out of Halifax and it is a great ship tracking port. They have great web cams and you can watch your ship come in and go out of the harbor.

If you look at the row of web cams at the top of this link, the first two small boxes on the left will have the views that you will want to watch. It will be helpful if you find a map of the port, too, so you can understand the orientation of where the ship comes in, docks, and departs. There are two islands in the bay that will help you with your orientation. The larger island is McNabs and the smaller island is St. Georges. Tagus will enter the harobor, round the larger island, and dock at the Eastern Autoport in the eastern bay. I couldn't find a web cam for the autoport itself.

I have AIS radar, but AIS radar only works when a ship is within 50 miles of port, so it is not useful for Tagus now. I can keep an eye on Halifax AIS in a few days, if no one on this thread is able to get a subscription. Just remind me as the time gets closer. I am tracking Camilla Ace for a friend (it is just arriving in the Panama Canal region today) and Hojin for my own car (which is due into the PanCanal on Thursday).

sailwx.info has the tagus but it is very old data from last october. i guess it is no longer reporting. i signed up for the free trial at aislive.com but have yet to get my login info

Some people get their login info immediately, some it takes three days, but most never get it. I don't understand their selection criteria. I am sure it is related to security issues. When did you sign up?

Friday, I think. I put in that I was a student and that I was using it for research purposes. Maybe I should lie and say I'm part of some Marine Company

Its scheduled for NYC as 4/22 still. Its probably too far from the coast to show up on AIS live..maybe tomorrow it will be on there near Halifax.

You can watch the web cam tonight. You will have a better look when she leaves tomorrow. At some point they will post her time of departure and you can watch for her on the web cam.

No problem. I don't know why she's not showing, yet. She's late. The schedule shows her due at 20:48, but she's not in port and not showing on AIS. I think Halifax is one hour later than NY.

I think the port schedule gets updated when the ship arrives, but it hasn't been updated, either.

yeah well the WWL website has her scheduled as arriving the 20th - originally it was the 19th but it got pushed back a few days ago. hopefully she's not far away!

OK. Well, I will watch the map a little while longer tonight then check for her tomorrow morning. I just checked and she wasn't there.

I looked thorugh the webcam hour-byhour history and didnt see any Tagus. alsoc checked the DSR and it has not been updated - but noticed that it only gets updated Mon-Fri
