Chemical Guys - Cutting Compound advice
Hey guys
I have been using meguiars pro fine cut cleaner, swirl remover, glaze and mezerna PF2500 (for wet sanding heavy correction, but i would like something a tad more aggressive) and a zymol sealant. I use lake country CCS 6.5" pads on my hitachi rotary. I'm almost out of the meguiars cutting compounds and wish to buy some chemical guys compounds. Can someone please advise what chemical guys products i should use for: 1: Heavy correction/wet sanding (removing 1200 grit marks) 2: Fine cut cleaner 3: Swirl remover 4: Glaze Is the 'V' series optical range a much better product then the normal range they offer? Also I'm keen to purchase a lake country yellow pad, or would i be better off with a lambs wool pad for agressive cutting on surface defect areas (or both?) I just found with the orange CCS pad and the mezerna PF2500 I wasnt able to remove heavy defects, deep swirls Cheers Shane |

PF2500 is about a 4.5-5 on a scale of 10 cut wise. The heaviest cutting stuff I know of is cut 1.0 from Chemical guys. It has INSANE cut. Be safe.

I haven't used it personally, but my friend was correcting a S550 that had ceramiclear clear coat which is the hardest CC out there. FG400 wasn't cutting enough for him, so he went out and got CG's 1.0 cut. He said it has insane cutting ability. You probably shouldn't be using it. It takes out 700 grit sanding marks.
