rearview camera help!

Hey guys. I just installed the xcarlink interface and hooked up a couple things (ipod video/sound, front cam, rear cam) everything works great except the rearview cam. It looks like im not getting enough power? When I reverse, the cam switches but no picture. However, when the car is off, the picture comes out but very poor quality. When I tested it on another monitor and external 12v power source,, it worked great. I used a relay for the power as well. I have a 12v constant coming from the battery terminal from engine bay connected to pin30, reverse light red wire connected from reverse light to pin 86, relay to 85 and green wire to 87. Im not sure whats going on here. Any thought?

I'm having the same issue. It switches to black, and the picture flickers in and out very sporadically. I'm going to test the power soon.

Hey got it to work. You have to use a relay.

actually did ur camera come with "power filter"? if you have that you dont need a relay.

Had the same problem, You need a relay.

Hey any idea how to get the guidelines? I had it and yesterday, it just disappeared. I'm assuming it's a wire or setting?

Guide lines are normally built into the camera itself.

I'll try the relay out. I have no idea whether or not I have a filter on the camera.
