Need help removing front lip that was rubber cemented on
I picked up an MTech front bumper for my e90 a few days ago and it has the vorsteiner lip installed on it, and I want to remove it. I found out from the previous owner that the lip was installed with some sort of high strength rubber cement. The lip has a spiderweb crack which is why I'm going to remove it. I want to plastidip the the unpainted cf part that is cracked, to give it a little bit more strength. Anyways, he had a body shop attempt to remove it, and they couldn't for whatever reason, but in doing so, it pulled some of the paint off the mtech bumper. I realize I'm likely going to have to get the bumper repainted, but I'm hoping to remove the lip and cause little to no damage to the rest of the bumper. Any tips, advice, methods I can use?!

Not happening without screwing up at least the lip, or the bumper, but most likely both. The bumper will need to be sanded down and repainted and the inside of the lip may be screwed up depending on how much rubber cement was used. I dont know of any solvents that will eat through it without screwing up the paint and clear coat.
