idrive - 2006 - bluetooth

Hi all,

picked up my new car on friday - and its got idrive with bluetooth. Now i'm having a couple of problems... which I've tried to read about on here.

- Pairing with a phone. I can get my phone to recognise the BMW bluetooth - then the screen on the bmw says input bluetooth code - now I've tried a few options (last 5 digits of the vin, the pin i thought was on the phone....) I never seem to get to the option on my phone that says enter pin on phone. I've read that the code maybe on the bluetooth unit.... but im not sure where this is - I've checked in the boot and couldnt see anything....

- Other people have been able to pair their phones - as I can see old phone names - but I cant seem to delete these....

Any ideas would be very helpful....

Just enter "0000" in the car, then enter the same code on your phone when prompted.

The code is a completely arbitrary unique one, just for the pairing you are trying to set up - they key is that you have to enter it in both the car and the phone during the pairing process.

PS you should be able to delete old pairings

Thanks for this! Managed to pair up the wides blackberry in the end... Think I just needed to be a bit more patient.... Haven't managed to delete the other phones but not too worried now.
