Interior wood trim on dashboard removal DIY?

I searched time and time again but couldn't find any DIY for the E90 wood trim removal. I was able to find some pictures of it removed already, but no instruction on where to start.

If anyone has any information, I'd really appreciate it.

p.s. I am particularly looking to only remove the wood trim across the dashboard (longer piece above the console on the right side).
