Am I S&%t outta luck with my front right headlight?
The best way I can describe it is the chrome cone shaped ring that goes around the projector some how fell out of place in my head light. I did not get into any accident nor was there any damage done to the head light or the front right bumper area.
I went to Rallye BMW in Westbury, Long Island todayto get my car fixed. After James DelVecchio, my horrible SA, saw my head light and looked at my shitty RFT and saw bumps, he automatically concluded that bcuz of pot holes that piece must have fallen out. I asked him if he ever saw anything like this and he said no. The total damage is $1675 for parts and labor to fix it. I told him no way. Now my question to you guys: Has this happened to anyone? I already contacted bmw NA and they are siding with the dealership of course. I feel like this headlight is defective, my friends and i have never seen anything like this. Am i just shit outta luck? First pic is a picture of my left headlight and how it should look. The next two pics are the front right headlight with the chrome ring out of place due to "wear and tear". Thanks in advance!

i think your best bet is to cut them open and fix it yourself. Or bring it to another dealership and try them. still under warranty or CPO?

It's a good time to send it to OSS if you have the budget!

Yea, I agree.. I would just crack it open and DIY. I had my car for a few months with sport suspension and those stupid RunFlats, and hit a pothole which knocked something in my headlight, causing the passenger side projector to point to the ground. Morristown BMW in NJ fixed it with no problem, but I'm guess it was bc the car was still pretty new? ..They gave me a nightmare though, when my runflats showed metal at just 12,000 miles =(
