Hey Pete,
From my limited experience, this is THE portrait lens. Becasue it has a wide aperture of f/1.8, when you focus on something it blurs the background and it is for that reason, it is lovely for portraits. It really is a lovely lens and i have taken some stupidly sharp pictures with it. Bear in mind, this doesnt zoom....its 50mm all the way and in some ways, this makes you think about what you are taking a picture of moreso., Regards Andy |

As with the other Pete,
As much as possible. Again, as a guideline....one went yesterday for £75.01 with 4.99 delivery. I can only go by that and would stick on a buy it now if you promised to hit it quick. It will work with the 350d just lovely and will honestly transform your pics. This is the perfect starting point mate, these are cheap lenses relatively speaking but do punch above their weight in terms of performance. If you want me to send some samples i may have some time tonight to do so. Regards Andy |
