Any more than a 1% difference and your fronts/rears will be rolling at different speeds, which the car will interpret as perpetual slip and you'll end up wearing out the transfer case super quick. Suggestions... for that setup maybe 235/35 and 275/30, although I'm not sure if it'll be too stretched on a 10" rim. 245/35, 285/30 is a good setup too although that may require fender work. Check your tire sizes and do the math - make sure they're ok before driving around too much. Running improper staggered setups, she won't tell you she's hurting until she finally keels. And then you're out a few thousand to fix it. There are a few horror stories around the xi forum. I'm in the same boat, have an lci xi and bought a staggered wheel setup to run come spring. Was worried about the same thing so I read and researched until my nose bled. 0.02 Last edited by Kalidian; 02-08-2013 at 07:27 PM.. |

You're fine with 235/35, 265/30. No worries.

Our cars come staggered from the factory, so no worries. Keep the diameter the same. My tires are identical to yours.
And BTW, Kamek is pulling your leg/giving you a hard time because you said "before it's too late" lol
