Hi all, I'm new to the n54 platform so please take it easy on my stupid questions!

I've got a 2008 135i with a high flow downpipe and a Milltek catback exhaust. It's a convertible, and even with the top down it's way too quiet in my opinion. I suspect that's due to the high flow downpipes. I really want to avoid replacing the downpipe.

Currently tuned to stage 2+ with the linear throttle (Cobb). I'm wondering what options there are for Cobb tunes to get a burble sound? Not sure I'd love it, but I just wanted to give it a try. Reliability is a minor concern, I have full supporting mods and it's a weekend car

That requires buying a new tool and buying an MHD license right? The Cobb is already paid for haha

You asked for advice and got it. 99% of people will say the same thing.

Have fun with your cobb.

I asked for Cobb tune options

If there aren't new Cobb tune options, that's fine too. Like I said, I'm new to the platform and just saying "ditch Cobb and go to MHD" doesn't do much for me

The problem is its virtually obsolete. Haven't seen any map updates from Cobb.

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong section.
First time posting here.

Looking for help, willing to pay for a reward for fixing my problem.

While trying to update a DME using ISTA-P and ICOM NEXT on a customers vehicle the programing has failed and the DME is reporting "Programming status 12"
I'm in over my head at this point. Will be towing the vehicle to the local dealer on Monday if I can not solve the problem this weekend.

Vehicle is a E83 2007 X3 3.0si

Things I have done so far.
Tried using ISTA-P to re-program the module again twice. Same problem every time.
I have tried to follow videos and tutorials on using winKFP but I have no clue what i'm actually doing.

I do have a proper power supply (MAC TOOLS 60A programming supply)

My question was more academic as I still have cats so I'd be running Stage 1+, so I guess if you do the kitty delete you have to have a custom tune done now?

Also, is anyone still playing with these, when I unpacked the new tunes that I downloaded there were 20 some files in each ptp, how do I know which ones I want to load on the AP and into my car?

Do you still have those maps saved? I'd love a copy

Bump.

Would love one too.

Made the mistake of buying a used COBB v3 without asking which maps it had preloaded thinking it didn't matter.

Just finding out now that stage 2 maps aren't archived by anyone online like they are for Subarus.

My current firmware is 1.7.4 something and I'm seeing a v404 stage 1 map. I'll be going full bolt on very soon so would love to try to get an OTS stage 2+ before resorting to a custom tune.

Wasn't too long after that I read more about MHD. Saw it for sale locally and the tiny orange OBD adapter made me thought it was one of those "chips" they sell all over ebay so I didn't indulge.

Was able to receive a Stage 2 race tune (e30 gas) and a stage 2+ FMIC Aggressive tune from someone on facebook. Both are "IJEOS" which I have no clue what that is. Looks like region vehicles.

IJEOS is the ROM and it’s different depending on the n54 you have. Here’s a few of the main ones:

I8A0S is the ROM for MSD80 (original DME in 2007-mid 2008 N54)

IJEOS is the ROM for 135i/335i MSD81 (revised DME).

INA0S is the ROM for 335is

IKM0S is the ROM for 1M

Thanks! I actually have a 5Series but I know it's basically same as the 335/135. (or something like that)

I have a brand new v3 cobb if anyone wants it. PM me a fair offer (including shipping).

It was a great tool, and I can see how some people are stil attracted to it. If I were a Stage 1 or 1+, it'd still likely be my tune.

Does anyone have the e85 mix maps in IJEOS? Apparently nobody thought they were worth saving so it's impossible to find them, even though there's no shortage of maps for Subaru.

Cobb maps are so outdated by now. Just throw the AP in the trash and get MHD. I know it has been said before and I am not trying to be a jerk but seriously switch to MHD. Everything will be better.
