Non-sport steering wheel to M3 wheel conversion

Hi guys,

So, I'm going to change out my non-sport steering wheel from my '07 335i sedan for the tri-stitched M3 wheel. My car is a 6MT. Just want to confirm these are all the parts I'll need:

--M3 steering wheel
--M3 trim
--Sport airbag
--Airbag bracket
--Multifunction buttons

Is that it?

Thanks!

You will need the Airbag wire harness. Don't know if that comes with the airbag mounting bracket if you buy that from BMW. Maybe the airbag wires from your current wheel will work, but I can't confirm that.

I've got a Sport airbag for sale!

And I just saw your note on my listing so you know about my airbag for sale already!

Yep the airbag harness is the last item you need (it is mostly included with the airbag mounting bracket).

The airbag harness from your non-sport steering wheel will not work here.

Other than that, you got it all.

I just went from non-sport to Mtech sport wheel with retrofit paddles. You will love it :-)

Is there any coding involved? If you were to switch them out...

Nope, so long as you choose the right wheel for the right application. 6MT M3 wheel for cars with 6MT or steptronic without paddles, and DCT M3 wheel for cars with steptronic and paddles.
